ZULUDIVER, as the name implies, has a strong heritage in the sub-aqua world. There are many wonders to explore under the ocean such as colourful coral reefs, unique wildlife and evocative shipwrecks. Yet no matter how experienced a diver is there is one inhabitant whose arrival on the scene makes you stop, take stock, and they never fail to send a primeval tingle along your spine – a Shark!
No matter how (relatively) safe we all know they can be to dive with in controlled conditions there is still that inbred fear that comes with being near a shark. The way it looks at you with those dark pools of eyes and seems to be thoroughly unintimated by you. There is something wonderfully latent in its ease of motion which belays huge power, strength and a sheer ability to out-survive most species.
Which makes a shark a perfect inspiration for our latest range of NATOs which have been created in homage to this apex predator.
Introducing new ZULUDIVER SHARK NATO Straps
SHARKS are made from a new composite of nylon, specially imported from a manufacturer in Taiwan who specialises in 100% environmentally friendly and non-toxic fabric. The stylised shark tooth design is created by a high-power ribbon machine with individual peaks being generated by hand threading. High temperature, eco-friendly dyes are used to create the unique colours and then the straps are exposed to an even higher temperature to lock the colour in place. The advanced nylon is smooth and breathable and has an iridescent metallic quality.
Our double striped black and grey NATO is named after the MAKO shark inspired by its two-tone body with a darker dorsal top and silver body.
Many underwater reefs are filled with luscious plantation which are inhabited by REEF sharks. The name of this NATO has been inspired by these plants which make up the home of these gentle yet curious creatures.
Famous for its black tipped fins the BLACKTIP NATO is the classic all black NATO with the SHARK design.
The ZULUDIVER HAMMERHEAD strap is named in honour of this most iconic of sharks which is often found with a brown hue to its dorsal region.
Often found in deep water the Oceanic shark was the prefect inspiration for the blue NATO in this new collection. Representing the colour of the deep as you descend further.
The THRESHER shark is famous for its exceptionally long tail. The perfect name for a true length G1098 NATO strap with a shark-tooth design.
Often found with copper tints the SPINNER shark is famous for spinning out of the water in quick bursts of speed to catch its prey.
