Built for the toughest adventures, the Mayday Regatta Sailcloth strap is where rugged durability meets all-day comfort. Designed in a classic remborde two-piece style and engineered with our innovative PVC sailcloth rubber, this strap doesn’t just shrug off water, it disperses it.

Engineered and Tested for Endurance

We didn’t just design this watch strap, we pushed it to its limits. To make sure it could stand up to real-world adventure, the Mayday Regatta went through six brutal durability tests:

  1. Dry Rub Test (150 cycles, 1kg pressure): No discolouration, no wear, just flawless performance.
  2. Wet Rub Test (150 cycles, 1kg pressure): Even under soaking conditions, the surface held strong without a mark.
  3. Flex Test (2,000 cycles): Simulating daily bending through the buckle, no cracks, no scratches.
  4. Flex & Load Test (1,000 cycles, 0.5kg weight): With added pressure, the strap still bent and bounced back without damage.
  5. Pull Test (15kg for 1 min): The spring bar area stayed rock-solid under serious strain.
  6. Twist Test (3,000 twists, 5kg pressure): Withstood extreme twisting forces, passed without defects.

Layered for Performance

Top layer of our sailcloth is built with a triple-layer construction:

  • Base layer: Black woven cotton fabric, giving tear-resistant strength.
  • Middle layer: Grey neoprene foam, adding flexible comfort that adapts to temperature and time.

About Multi-Layer Sailcloth

Three layers make up the 0.78mm thick PVC sailcloth rubber. The combination of these layers make the material durable, flexible and very comfortable to wear.
  1. Black PVC Rubber

    The top layer is embossed with a sailcloth pattern and gives the material it’s a unique look and robust high abrasion-resistant finish
  2. Grey Neoprene foam

    Lining created to allow flexibility and comfort in a wide range of temperatures.
  3. Black woven cotton fabric

    Lining designed to give tear-resistant strength.

Clasp Material
The clasp is an essential component of the watch strap as it ensures that the watch stays in place and provides a comfortable fit. We don't use any cheap materials for our clasps and buckles, we use premium stainless steel which is highly durable, extermly strong and corrosion-resistant.
